Explore this serviceFATCA-focused tax preparation
Focused FATCA preparation for U.S. taxpayers with foreign financial assets—built around careful intake, coordinated federal filing, and a clear next step for complex or late situations.
Narrow by design. The work centers on FATCA and the federal return it belongs with.
Facts before answers. Asset type, ownership, residence, and filing status all matter.
Clarity before documents. Start with a concise inquiry, not sensitive records.
Focused services

A necessary distinction
Form 8938 is generally attached to the federal income tax return. The FBAR is filed separately with FinCEN. Different definitions and thresholds can mean a taxpayer needs one, both, or neither.
Compare Form 8938 and FBARForm 8938
Filed with the IRS as part of an annual federal return when the applicable person, asset, and value conditions are met.
FinCEN Form 114
Filed with FinCEN under a separate framework for qualifying foreign financial accounts and signature authority.
